Welcome to Sustainable Algonquin!

Algonquin College is fully committed to being an institution that embodies the three principles of sustainability – People, Planet, Profits. In a world that is threatened by environmental degradation, social unrest and economic uncertainty, Algonquin strives to incorporate environmental, social and economic sustainability in its teaching, research, operations and outreach. This website details our efforts to integrate sustainability principles and environmental literacy into the fabric and culture of the College. Sustainability initiatives and projects are directed by the Sustainable Algonquin Steering Committee.

In January, 2009 Sustainable Algonquin launched the Algonquin Sustainability Strategy Project. In order to accomplish the objectives of this project this site is being used as a tool for community members to keep up-to-date on progress and to participate in shaping the outcomes; please check for upcoming events and join in on the Collaborative Space!
